Founded in 1989, and a partner of Transcontinental Inc. since 1996, CEDROM-SNi has been the leader in the distribution of news information on the Internet in both Canada and France.

Our success in a nutshell
The company was founded just as the first CD-ROMs were making their way onto the market. A firm believer in new technologies, we were among the first to recognize and use the potential of the Internet to make information products available to a diverse client base.

One of our main accomplishments was to create and launch the Eureka.cc news portal in French Canada, Newscan.com in English Canada and Europresse.com in Europe. In fact, they are still flourishing today.

At CEDROM-SNi, we are recognized for marketing products that are based on proven technology and expertise, as well as our exceptional ability to analyze the needs of our customers. To ensure our customers get the most out of our products, we offer the the services of librarians to help them perform relevant searches. We also provide training to users, technical support at every phase and the marketing tools to facilitate the implementation of the product internally.

An approach that respects copyrights

From day one, CEDROM-SNi has made it a practice to negotiate licenses directly with our publishing partners to ensure that the content our customers rely on is in compliance with copyright laws.

In January 2004, CEDROM-SNi acquired France’s DIVA-Press, publisher of DIVA, an online service devoted to economic and financial information.

We also provide tools and expertise to these publishers, who integrate them as needed into their Internet portals. A team that is responsible for managing copyright supervises and distributes publishers content in various products and through various distribution channels.

We have 90 employees in offices in Montreal, Paris, Ottawa, Toronto and Halifax.
